Welcome to October, my friends, and also my 400th post on this here blog. Considering I don't have a huge readership, I'm not going to do anything fun for this, I just wanted to acknowledge it.
Anyhow, I got to thinking about the 1st of the month and how many people like to start things at the beginning of a month or a year. I like that. Every month can be a brand new start and a brand new opportunity to do things right. Why wait until the beginning of the year to set new goals for yourself. Set them at anytime, and run with them. I am a very goal driven person. I don't always accomplish my goals, but it keeps me motivated to have something to strive for.
Starting in October (today) here are my goals:
1. Run 30 miles in 30 days. I totally failed on this challenge in September, but it doesn't mean I'm going to give up.
2. Get back to a bit of photography. I have a whole bunch of photos that need to be edited from clear back through July. My goal is to post at least two edited photos a week through October (and hopefully beyond). That doesn't sound like much, but with my schedule, it really is.
3. Study the Bible daily during October, and write about it. My life is much more joyful when I study Scripture and write about it, even if the things I write about are not so joyful. My prayer life has always been better when I write out my prayers. I feel more grateful when I take the time to sit down to write about those things of which I am grateful. My goal is to write a "Blessings" post at least once a week. We'll see how it goes.
So, 3 little goals for October. It shouldn't be too hard. My schedule is significantly less hectic with my lighter theater schedule, so hopefully, I'll be able to handle my free time with a little more productivity than in months past.
Okay, wish me luck!
