FINALLY! Today at rehearsal, the director threw me into the fire and had me sing my little song for the very first time in front of the entire cast, while we were blocking. READY. SET. GO! Honestly, it was probably for the best, because I didn't really have a chance to get too nervous, but (and this is just between us), I wasn't entirely happy with it.
It was okay. I just have this really weird hangup that when I sing by myself in front of people, my voice is much lower than it usually is when I sing. I don't seem to have this issue when I'm singing with the rest of the group. Now, granted, when the pianist started playing the music, it sounded lower and made me want to sing it that low, but I was having trouble staying on key with it. Not sure why, but I'm hoping I can figure it out.
However, people said it was good, so I guess no one else noticed. I guess for the very first time, it was decent... but I know I can do better.
Oh well, at least we did it and people clapped for me at the end. Now, if only I could make myself believe I did well.
Yay! I wish i could hear you! ;) I am sure it was great!!
