I have come to the conclusion that I am totally incapable of watching the first few episodes of "The Biggest Loser". Every time I try to watch it, I have the best of intentions, but there's always one thing that completely turns me off and makes me avoid it like the plague until about the middle of the season.
Too much puking!!
There. I said it. Why do they have to show that stuff? We know it's tough for them. Obviously. If they're there, it means they believe themselves to be completely out of shape and it would be hard for them to get into a normal exercise routine, let alone the craziness the show puts them through. I do not need to see every gory detail.
That said, once they get a little fitter and can handle the workouts, I will probably watch this season. I'm interested to see how the kids do (they cannot be kicked off, which I like) and a friend of a friend is on this season, so I want to route for him. I just cannot handle the initial grossness.
Does anyone else who watches "The Biggest Loser" get grossed out by the first few episodes? Maybe it's just me.
Yeah, it's disgusting. My trainer here (who is awesome & has helped MANY to lose a lot of weight w/ her program) hates that - she hates that they allow them to get to puking. You do not need to push them THAT HARD. I mean... that's kind of ridiculous. You can get in shape & lose weight w/o doing that, but they are after those insane numbers, like 10 pounds a week...which isn't good!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there were kids on there though. I hope they are nicer to them!?
